Edison Lux Industries [NPE] filed suit against Nominum, alleging that Nominum’s Vantio NXR service infringes a patent related to sending users to a landing page when they request unrecognized and/or unregistered subdomain names.  Edison Lux has filed seven prior suits since February 2012 against Argent Solutions, Infoblox, Infospace, Integrated Broadband Services, OpenDNS, Paxfire, and Xerocole.  According to the complaint, Edison Lux is the exclusive licensee of the patent-in-suit, which originated with Web & Net Computing and was assigned to Faraday Mew in July 2011.  5/1, District of Delaware, no judge yet assigned, 1:2012cv00542.
