New NPE Sues Garmin

Pacing Technologies [NPE] filed suit against Garmin, alleging that Garmin’s portable GPS-enabled devices infringe a patent related to synchronizing a user’s pace with the tempo of their music during repetitive motion activities.  This is the first patent infringement suit initiated by Pacing Technologies.  The patent-in-suit was assigned to Pacing Technologies in February 2007 by William Turner, the named inventor as well as the CEO and founder of Pacing Technologies.  5/1, Southern District of California, Judge Roger T.
