Joao Control and Monitoring Sues Xanboo

May 3, 2012

Joao Control and Monitoring Systems [NPE] filed suit against Xanboo, alleging that Xanboo’s Central Server and XG1000 controller infringe four patents related to remotely controlling vehicles and video and audio devices for surveillance and monitoring.  Joao Control and Monitoring has filed 11 prior suits since November 2009 against more than 30 defendants, and has been subject to one action for declaratory judgment filed by Xanboo in April 2011. The two patents included in the April 2011 Xanboo declaratory judgment action are not included in the lawsuit recently filed by Joao Control and Monitoring.  The patents-in-suit were issued to inventor Raymond Joao before being assigned to Joao Control and Monitoring Systems in December 2008.  4/27, Central District of California, Judge Audrey B. Collins, 2:2012cv03698.
