Named Inventors Move Casting Campaign from Eastern to Western District of Texas

Inventor-controlled NPEs S.M.R Innovations Ltd and Y.M.R Tech Ltd. have filed their second lawsuit, accusing LG Electronics (LGE) (6:21-cv-00386) of infringing the same two patents—generally related to “rerouting data including multimedia data” to the “most convenient” of a plurality of nearby wireless devices—that they asserted against Samsung last August in the Eastern District of Texas. That suit ended in March after the parties notified the court of a settlement.
