Project Paperless [NPE] filed suit against Veris Consulting, alleging that Veris Consulting’s data management systems (including scan-to-file and scan-to-email functions) infringe two patents related to scanning paper into digital form and automatically emailing the resultant digital copy.  Project Paperless has filed two prior suits since January 2012 against UAV Communications and BlueWave Computing.  The patents-in-suit originated with Imagination Software and were assigned to Renaissance Group IP Holdings before being assigned to Project Paperless in September 2011.  3/26, Eastern District of Virginia, Judge Anthony Trenga, 1:2012cv00334.
