Symantec Dissolves Joint Venture with Huawei

March 27, 2012 – The NY Times reports Symantec is dissolving a joint venture with Huawei related to network security products over fears the alliance could prevent Symantec from obtaining US government classified information about cyberthreats. Symantec will reportedly sell its 49% stake in the venture to Huawei for $530 million.
