TQP Sues Four More Companies

TQP Development [NPE] filed four separate suits against First National Bank of Omaha, Moneygram International, NetSpend, and OptionsHouse, alleging that the defendants’ websites infringe a patent related to encrypted data transmission.  TQP, founded by Erich Spangenberg, has filed 21 previous suits since under its current name and seven suits under the names Telequip and The PACid Group.  Dozens of companies have settled with TQP for undisclosed amounts including Amazon, Apple, Comcast, and eBay.  2/9, Eastern District of Texas, 2:2012cv00063; 2:2012cv00064; 2:2012cv00065; 2:2012cv00066.
