Intellectual Ventures Records Assignment of Patents from Nippon Steel

February 8, 2012- Intellectual Ventures recorded the assignment of 83 issued US patents originally acquired from Nippon Steel. The non-volatile memory patents were assigned by Nippon Steel in December 2005 to Intellectual Ventures holding entity ”Pegre Semiconductors, LLC”. According to the USPTO, the 83 patents were subsequently assigned in December 2010 via a merger conveyance from Pegre to Intellectual Ventures I. (Intellectual Ventures I is the plaintiff entity that has launched litigations targeting DRAM, FPGA, security software, and camera companies.)
