PPS Data [NPE] filed suit against RDM Payment Solutions, alleging that RDM’s Image Transaction and Management services infringe three patents related to remotely depositing financial instruments.  PPS Data, a subsidiary of Zions Bancorporation, has filed one prior suit against a defendant in the financial services industry and five prior suits against defendants that process electronic health records.  The patents-in-suit originated with NetDeposit, a bank software provider which changed its name to PPS Data in October 2010.  1/26, Eastern District of Virginia, 2:2012cv00053.
