Causam Enterprises, Inc. has filed its first patent litigation cases, accusing Alarm.com (6:21-cv-00751), Ecobee (6:21-cv-00748), Itron (6:21-cv-00750), Resideo Technologies (6:21-cv-00749), and Xylem (6:21-cv-00752) of infringing four patents through the provision of smart thermostats that support “demand response functionality” and/or are compatible with the EnergyHub Mercury DERMS platform (Alarm.com) and eco+ software (Ecobee). The patents generally relate to managing power flow within an “electric power grid”.
