IP Edge Kicks Off Optical Networking Campaign

At the end of July, IP Edge LLC began five campaigns, four of them litigating assets from its large portfolio acquisition from Technicolor SA for the first time. The fifth new campaign, however, saw the Texas monetization firm assert yet another of its assets acquired from a different source, Huawei. In a Western District of California, controlled plaintiff Couture Licensing LLC accused Verizon (Verizon Wireless) (6:21-cv-00774) of infringing two of those patents, both generally related to optical networking technology, through the provision of “optical communications networks that utilize NG-PON2 technology”, as well as products and services that support it.
