Pragmatus Telecom Sues Ten More LivePerson Customers

Pragmatus Telecom [NPE] filed ten separate suits against Advance Auto Parts, E*Trade Financial, Estee Lauder, Federal Express, Ford, North Face Apparel, Overstock.com, Scottrade Financial, Sirius XM Radio, and United Parcel Service, alleging that defendants’ websites’ implementation of  “click-to-chat” help (supplied by Live Person) infringe three patents related to automated contact center communications.  Pragmatus Telecom filed one prior suit in November 2011 against 11 defendants.  The patents-in-suit originated with The New Brunswick Telephone Company, and were assigned to Bell Aliant Regional Communications in October 2009.  Pragmatus Telecom is the most recent Pragmatus patent enforcement entity.  Others include: Pragmatus AV and Pragmatus VOD.
