After it picked up two patents from prior owner and plaintiff Biometric Associates, new plaintiff Jabaa, LLC has accused two more defendants of infringement: Foot Locker (2:21-cv-00234) in late June and now Caleres (2:21-cv-00341), in late August, both over the provision of mobile apps enabling users to purchase items using Google Pay via biometric authentication features (e.g., fingerprint and facial recognition).
