Ho Keung TSE [INV] filed suit against Apple and Ascedia, alleging that the defendants’ Digital Rights Management software infringes a patent related to software security.  Ho Keung TSE has filed two prior suits since 2005 against nine defendants including AOL, eBay, and Sony.  During reexamination, the PTO confirmed the validity of at least some claims of the in-suit-patent, but this action was filed while the rest of the reexamination proceeding is still pending.  The complaint states that the plaintiff will re-file after the reexamination certificate issues and will seek to consolidate the two cases.   1/9, Western District of Wisconsin, 3:2012cv00021.
