Texas monetization firm—and top NPE plaintiff—IP Edge LLC has revealed the acquisition of another batch of patents from Huawei. The 40-plus-asset transaction joins earlier deals with Huawei in 2018 (one) and 2019 (two), as well as acquisitions from two other fresh sources of patents for the firm. As RPX has recently reported (see here and here), IP Edge plaintiffs have already begun asserting in litigation assets from those other sources; new campaigns arising from the recently received Huawei patents are all but inevitable.
