Webvention [NPE] filed suit against Allergan, Bass Pro Outdoor, Daimler AG, Everready Battery, HDR, Hulu, L.L. Bean, Mercedez-Benz, Merck, Nordstrom, Polo Ralph Lauren, Robert Half International, Royal Caribbean Cruises, SAIC, T. Rowe Price, Tommy Hilfiger, Unilever, Valspar, Vibrant Media, and Volt, alleging that the defendants’ websites infringe the ’294 patent, which relates to hover previewing and dynamic searching. On its website, Webvention claims to have licensed the patent-in-suit to over 330 companies. Webvention has filed suit against more than 80 defendants and been named in more than 25 separate declaratory judgment actions since July 2010. 12/20, District of Maryland, 1:2011cv03624.
