LBT IP II LLC has taken over the campaign that fellow Location Based Technologies, Inc. plaintiff LBT IP I LLC launched in July 2019, suing Uber (6:21-cv-01210) in the Western District of Texas. The plaintiff asserts four patents, each new to litigation and broadly directed to location tracking systems. The defendant is accused of infringement through the provision of its ride-hailing and delivery services, with features for transmitting location data between drivers and users at issue.
