Constellation Designs, LLC has sued LG Electronics (LGE) (2:21-cv-00448) over the provision of televisions that incorporate receivers compliant with the A/322 Physical Layer Protocol of the ATSC (Advanced Television Systems Committee) 3.0 Standard (NextGen TV). Seven patents, generally related to wireless communications, are now in suit, with the plaintiff alleging that they are “directed to technology practiced under the A/322 Physical Layer Protocol” of NextGen TV. Constellation Designs appears to belong to a familiar player in patent monetization.
