Acacia Entity Sues Verizon as Part of New Campaign

DN Lookup Technologies [NPE] filed suit against Verizon Communications, alleging that the Verizon’s domain name redirect services infringe a patent related to a domain name recommendation engine that handles invalid domain name lookup requests.  DN Lookup filed fiver prior suits on November 29, 2011 against Charter, Comcast, Cox, OpenDNS, and Time Warner.  The patent-in-suit was assigned to Acacia Research by Iscatel in July 2011.  Iscatel appears to have been a DNS redirection provider. 12/1, District of Delaware, 1:2011cv01185.
