In February, PacSec3, LLC, a Texas entity associated with patent monetization firm Dynamic IP Deals LLC (d/b/a DynaIP), has fired off another round of suits in its sole litigation campaign, hitting Advent (Forescout Technologies) (2:22-cv-00055) and Splunk (2:22-cv-00056) in the Eastern District of Texas; BlackBerry (6:22-cv-00128), Cloudflare (6:22-cv-00129), CrowdStrike Holdings (6:22-cv-00127), DarkTrace (6:22-cv-00126), Imperva (6:22-cv-00167), and Rapid7 (6:22-cv-00168) in the Western District of Texas; and Mimecast (3:22-cv-00396) in the Northern District of Texas. The lone patent-in-suit generally relates to a system for defending against packet flooding attacks, with the defendants accused of infringement through the provision of firewall systems that support features for preventing packet flood attacks.
