“Technology Incubator” Sues Automaker in Smart Vehicle Campaign

Vision Works IP Corp. has filed suit against Nissan (3:22-cv-00301) in the Southern District of California, asserting five patents naming as an inventor Alfred (“Fritz”) Braunberger, the plaintiff’s principal. The new complaint targets various Nissan vehicle systems, including Dynamic Digital Suspension, Intelligent Ride Control, Remote Engine Start/Stop, ProPILOT, and Vehicle Dynamic Control. Neither of the past two defendants in this litigation campaign, begun in May of last year, Peloton Technology and Polaris, is on the list of “paid license holders” that Braunberger identifies.
