Imagio [NPE] filed suit against  Fujitsu, Sony, ASUS, Lenovo, CDW, and Sears over two patents related to image compression. 3/8, 1:2011cv01614. The suit targets personal computers using Microsoft DirectX. The patents were issued to patent attorney/inventor Scott Harris’ Harris Technology. To date, 73 issued and pending patents have been assigned to Harris Technology. Harris, a former Fish and Richardson attorney has been linked to a number of suits involving patents of which he is the named inventor including: Innovative Patent Technologies, Illinois Computer Research, BarTex Research, and Memory Control Enterprises. Imagio is represented by Niro Haller and Niro. The patents in suit were assigned to Imagio, LLC in October 2010.
