Online Collaboration Platforms at Issue in New Southern District of California Case

In late March, Samesurf, Inc. sued Intuit (3:22-cv-00412) in the Southern District of California, alleging infringement of three “synchronized browsing” patents. The accused products are TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Smartlook products with “co-browsing (also known as synchronized browsing)” features, Samesurf pleading a series of interactions with the defendants, beginning in May 2015, that allegedly imparted pre-complaint knowledge of its patents.
