Targeting the provision of various smartphones and tablets, MyPort, Inc. filed suit against Samsung (2:22-cv-00114) in the Eastern District of Texas over three patents generally related to capturing and storing visual and audio information. This case is not the first litigation against Samsung over this family, but it is the first filed by this particular plaintiff, one of a dozen of apparently unrelated entities, each to have granted a security interest in its portfolio, all to the same funder, half of those entities doing so just last month.
