Mesh Comm [NPE] filed suit against Trilliant Networks over a patent related to wireless energy meters. Mesh Comm filed four prior suits in 2009. In fall 2009 Mesh Comm sued PEPCO, a utility, and Silver Spring Networks,  alleging that certain wireless communication enabled meters and networks infringed a patent owned by MeshComm (MeshComm_Complaint). In December 2010, the court construed 24 patent claim terms and denied defendants’ summary judgment motion challenging claim 1 as invalid for indefiniteness.(MeshComm_Opinion). 11/4, Western District of Kentucky, 3:2011cv00621.
