Former Network Services Provider Pivots to Patent Assertion with Help of Outside Funder

NetSocket, Inc. has launched its first litigation, filing an Eastern District of Texas complaint that accuses Cisco (2:22-cv-00172) of infringing two patents through the provision of networking products with certain quality of service (QoS) features. The plaintiff, once a provider of cloud-managed virtual network services according to its now-defunct website (archived here), appears to have pivoted to patent assertion with the help of a funder linked to several other litigating NPEs.
