SmartPhone Technologies [NPE] filed suit against AT&T and HTC, alleging that defendant’s smartphones infringe four patents related to mobile device technologies. SmartPhone Technologies, a subsidiary of Acacia Research, has filed three prior suits since March 2010 against AT&T, Apple, Exedea, HTC, Insight Enterprises, Kyocera, LG, Motorola, Nokia, Pantech, RIM, Samsung, Sanyo, Sony Ericsson, and T-Mobile. The patents-in-suit originated with Palm. 10/31, Eastern District of Texas, 6:2011cv00530.
