…and the situation produces, rather than a “punch line”, a complaint filed in federal district court. A lawyer representing a client for which IP Edge LLC acted as “licensing agent” has accused a principal of the monetization firm of a “bait and switch”, allegedly intended to rob the attorney of a lucrative payday. The Eastern District of Texas complaint contains claims for breach of contract, fraud, intentional interference with an existing contract, wrongful interference with prospective contractual or business relationship, and conspiracy—perhaps laying down a base coat for the vivid illustration of the perils of putting too many cooks in the patent case kitchen.
