Intellectual Ventures Sues Third Camera Company

Intellectual Ventures [NPE] filed suit against Nikon, alleging that the company’s digital cameras and photo editing software infringe five patents related to image sensors, touchscreens, and image editing software.  IV asserted these same patents in suits filed against Canon and Olympus in September 2011.  The patents-in-suit were previously assigned to companies including Motorola, MGI Software, and MagnaChip (spin out from Hynix), before they were acquired by IV.  10/26, District of Delaware, 1:2011cv01025.
