BSP Software filed suit against a direct competitor, Motio,  alleging that the company’s software for IBM Cognos integration infringes a  patent related to browser-based reporting interface for business intelligence software.  This is the first suit filed by BSP Software.  The patent-in-suit was issued to inventors, Andrew Weiss and Andrew Rachmiel, prior to being assigned to BSP Software. 10/21, Northern District of Illinois, 1:2011cv07497.
