Compound Photonics [NPE] filed suit against Sony over a patent related to fabricating LCD displays to achieve optimum optical properties.  This is the first time Compound Photonics has filed suit.  The patent-in-suit was issued to inventor, Douglas McKnight, in December 2004 and was assigned to Compound Photonics in October 2011.  10/20, Eastern District of Texas, 6:2011cv00552.
