Traffic Information [NPE] filed suit against ASUS over a patent related to providing traffic information over a network.  Traffic Information has filed 15 prior suits against over 85 defendants including Apple, AT&T, Best Buy, Honda, HTC, Huawei, Palm, Pantech, RIM, Samsung, Sony, Sony Ericsson, and Yahoo.  Traffic Information has reached settlements and license agreements with several companies including Apple, Best Buy, Garmin, Huawei, MetroPCS, Motorola, Palm, Panasonic, HTC, Pantech, Volvo, RIM, Samsung, Sony, Sony Ericcson, Sprint Solutions, Suzuki, and UTStarcom.  The patent-in-suit was issued to inventors, Bruce DeKock, Kevin Russell and Richard Qian, prior to being assigned to Traffic Information in November 2007. 10/20, Eastern District of Texas, 2:2011cv00457.
