Delaware Plaintiff Launches Smartwatch Litigation in the Eastern District of Texas

Health Tracker Systems LLC, a plaintiff formed in Delaware in April 2021, has launched its first litigation, suing Fossil Group (4:22-cv-00586) and Samsung (4:22-cv-00587) in separate Eastern District of Texas suits over a single expired patent generally related to monitoring and modifying the “activity level” of “one of a human being and a primate”. Smartwatches are targeted, the new complaint highlighting Fossil’s Hybrid Smartwatch HR Collider and Samsung’s Galaxy Fit 2.
