Visual Interactive Phone Concepts (VIPC) [NPE] filed suit against Cellco Partnership doing business as Verizon Wireless over two patents related to a videophone mailbox that stores video/voice and video/text images.  This case is a transfer from the Eastern District of Michigan.  Since 2005, VIPC has filed suit 11 times over the same two patents against defendants including Apple, AT&T Mobility, Google, and Samsung.  Both of VIPC’s patents were reaffirmed with minor amendments to the claims during ex parte reexaminations in 2010.  10/20, District of New Jersey, 3:2011cv06180.
