In a Return to Litigation, Aegis Mobility Looks to the District of Colorado
Aegis Mobility Inc. has returned to litigation, filing a District of Colorado complaint against Avaya (1:22-cv-01810) that alleges infringement of a patent from the same family asserted in a pair of June 2020 cases, one filed against each of Alphabet (Google) and Here Technologies in Delaware. The patent generally relates to implementing a “risk mitigation technique” when initiating mobile device communications, with infringement allegations targeting the provision of the Avaya one-X mobile app “for Android-based mobile phones”. Aegis Mobility pleads induced and willful infringement based on a letter allegedly sent to Avaya in May 2021, one month after its last round of litigation ended.
