Salesforce and Toyota Partner on Social Networking Application for Vehicles

May 23, 2011-  Salesforce and Toyota announced a partnership to offer a social networking application for Toyota car owners.  Vehicle owners will be able use a “Chatter” application provided by Salesforce to exchange information between the vehicle, auto dealership, and Toyota.  (For example, a dealership could send a direct-to-vehicle message to confirm a service appointment.)  Drivers will also be able to send messages to other drivers.
