SmartPhone Technologies [NPE] filed suit against Amazon over four patents related to mobile device technologies. The patents-in-suit originated with Palm. SmartPhone Technologies, a subsidiary of Acacia Technologies, has filed two prior suits since March 2010 against AT&T, Apple, Exedea, HTC, Insight Enterprises, Kyocera, LG, Motorola, Nokia, Pantech, RIM, Samsung, Sanyo, Sony Ericsson, and T-Mobile. 10/7, Eastern District of Texas, 6:2011cv00530.
