Fitness Tracking at Issue in New Gross Campaign

Healthness LLC has launched its first litigation, suing Adidas (6:22-cv-00862), Decathlon (6:22-cv-00864), Oura Health (6:22-cv-00868), and Under Armour (6:22-cv-00870) in the Western District of Texas and Garmin (1:22-cv-22653) in the Southern District of Florida. The asserted patents generally relate to tracking movement of an individual through a monitoring device, transferring the data from a first to a second location, and displaying activity information from the received data at a third location. The defendants are accused of infringement through the provision of devices (e.g., sneakers, smart rings, and smartwatches) that support features for tracking a user’s physical activity.
