October 7, 2011- Apple released the iPhone 4S. The new model includes an interactive voice response system “Siri” that can process and respond to voice commands and queries using contextual information.  For example, the voice prompt, ”Remind me to pick up dry cleaning” could create and trigger a reminder notification comprising the subject, e.g., “Pick up dry cleaning.”  This system also provides voice to text dictation that works with third-party apps- e.g., a voice recording can be used to update a user’s status on Facebook.
