Last week, RPX covered the barrage of new lawsuits filed by Hilco Global’s Bell Semiconductor, LLC (Bell Semic) against defendants old (AMD, ams-OSRAM, Analog Devices, Infineon Technologies, KIOXIA, MACOM Technology Solutions, Micron Technology, NVIDIA, OmniVision, Rockchip Electronics, Silicon Laboratories, Skyworks Solutions, Socionext, and Western Digital) and new (Ambarella, Ampere Computing, ASMedia Technology, Lattice Semiconductor, Marvell, PHISON Electronics, and Sequans Communications), in a variety of federal courts. Three defendants—Maxlinear (3:22-cv-01268), NXP Semiconductors (3:22-cv-01267), and Qualcomm (3:22-cv-01266), each sued in the Southern District of California—need to be added to that barrage, as part of the “old defendants” list.
