j2 Global Communications and its wholly owned subsidiary, Advanced Messaging Technologies (AMT) [NPE], filed suit against Vitelity Communications over two patents related to online messaging services including Internet voicemail and fax.  j2 has filed over 20 prior suits since 2004, five of which included AMT as a co-plaintiff.  The assignment history for some of AMT’s patents indicates it may have ties to Acacia. 9/23, Central district of California, 2:2011cv07904.
