This past week Bell Semiconductor, LLC (“Bell Semic”) filed yet more complaints against existing defendants in its litigation over patents received from Broadcom, suing—again—Analog Devices (1:22-cv-11718), Lattice Semiconductor (3:22-cv-01542, 3:22-cv-01543), MACOM Technology Solutions (1:22-cv-11719), Marvell (4:22-cv-11721), Phison Electronics (1:22-cv-02696, 1:22-cv-02698), Silicon Laboratories (1:22-cv-11722), and Skyworks Solutions (1:22-cv-11723). The Hilco Inc. (d/b/a Hilco Global) plaintiff targets a variety of devices, including audio signal processors (Analog), automotive AM/FM/HD radio tuners (Silicon Laboratories), crosspoint switches (MACOM), field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) (Lattice), power amplifier modules (Skyworks), single-chip Ethernet transceivers (Marvell), and USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 controllers for external SSDs (Phison)—allegedly manufactured using certain design tools provided by Cadence, Synopsys, and/or Siemens.
