LBS Innovations [NPE] filed three separate suits against 7-Eleven, Barnes & Noble, BP, Chick-fil-a, Choice Hotels, Citgo Petroleum, ConocoPhillips, Costco, Dave & Buster’s, Hyatt, Keycorp, Marriot, McDonald’s, Merrill Lynch, and Sally Beauty Supply over a patent related to providing location based offers to mobile devices.  LBS filed one prior suit in March 2011 against 15 defendants including CompUSA, Conn’s, and GameStop.  The patent-in-suit issued in 2000 and was assigned to LBS by the inventor Dennis Hollenberg in November 2010.  9/14, Eastern District of Texas, 2:2011cv00409; 2:2011cv00408; 2:2011cv00407.
