New NPE Sues Database Software Providers over Patent from Schlumberger

Ingeniador [NPE] filed suit against Alfresco Software, Blackboard, Bridgeline Digital, Compulink, EMC, HP, Informatica, Interwoven, Lexmark, Microsoft, Nuxeo, Objective, Oracle, SAP, SDL Tridion, and SpringCM over a patent related to database management for intranet applications that also allows outside accessibility from mobile devices.  This is the first suit filed by Ingeniador.  The patent-in-suit was originally assigned to Schlumberger Technology in 2002 and the complaint alleges that Ingeniador now owns all rights in the patent, including the exclusive right to recover for past infringement.  8/26, District of Puerto Rico, 3:2011cv01840.
