Woodbury Wireless Opens Campaign with Suit Against Verizon Wireless

December 28, 2022

Woodbury Wireless LLC has filed its first litigation, suing Verizon (Verizon Wireless) (2:22-cv-00483) over the provision of its 5G network, related services and access to that network, and certain Wi-Fi hotspot devices. The plaintiff asserts seven patents generally related to optimizing communication between an access point or a base station to a wireless device using multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) and directional antennas. This new complaint has been filed on the same day that a different plaintiff—with ties to Woodbury’s sometime manager—noticed a settlement that appears likely to end the last active case in that campaign, filed last year against Trend Micro.
