Parties Stipulate to End Delaware Leg of Dispute Between VLSI Technology and Intel

December 30, 2022

VLSI Technology LLC and Intel have filed a stipulation with Chief Judge Colm F. Connolly seeking to “permanently resolve” their Delaware dispute. The document indicates that VLSI has granted to Intel (and its customers) a covenant not to sue over the five patents there in suit, that no money has changed hands, and that the parties do not intend to file anything further (unless ordered to do so) in response to the court’s questions regarding VLSI’s compliance with Judge Connolly’s April 2022 standing orders. The end of litigation in Delaware will leave the parties still contesting infringement allegations in both the Western District of Texas, where a third jury trial ended in November 2022, and the Northern District of California, where discovery is underway after the lift of a stay to await certain related PTAB proceedings.
