RPX Has Published Its Q4 in Review

Per RPX’s recently published Q4 in Review, 2022’s patent litigation narrative was one of ongoing stability—at least, for NPEs. Last year, NPE filing levels virtually tied those of 2021, continuing a long-term trend despite upheavals in two of the nation’s top patent venues: a case assignment order that threatens the dominance of Western District of Texas Judge Alan D. Albright; and new disclosure requirements in the courtroom of Delaware Chief Judge Colm F. Connolly. These stable filing levels on the NPE side of things, however, was not matched by operating company plaintiffs . . .
