New Vehicle “Infraction Detection” Campaign Bears Familiar Hallmarks

January 23, 2023

Contiguity LLC has launched a litigation campaign, suing Conduent (6:23-vc-00038) in the Western District of Texas and Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Company (Hikvision) (3:23-cv-00160) in the Northern District of Texas. The plaintiff asserts a single patent generally related to vehicle “infraction detection”, targeting Conduent’s DriveSafe Enforcement System and Hikvision’s Speed Measurement Solution, both using cameras to monitor vehicle behavior to identify “infractions”. Contiguity, its counsel, and the source of its patent-in-suit appear to be familiar to the patent monetization scene.
