GM Expanding OnStar to In-Vehicle Entertainment

GM is reportedly interested in expanding its OnStar service to capture a portion of growing in-vehicle entertainment systems. A GM executive reportedly observed, “”What’s happening is a crashing of technologies between consumer electronics. Our research says that infotainment is one of the top five reasons to buy a car.”  Ford has introduced vehicles that play music on command and play mobile messages for passengers.
