Inventor-Backed Ask Sydney Targets Personalized Advertisements in First Litigation
Inventor-controlled plaintiff Ask Sydney, LLC has filed its first litigation, suing Alphabet (Google) (6:23-cv-00111), Amazon (Amazon.com Services) (6:23-cv-00108), Meta Platforms (6:23-cv-00112), Microsoft (6:23-cv-00113), and Snap (6:23-cv-00114), all in the Western District of Texas. The two asserted patents generally relate to presenting a series of product images on a device’s display based on “tags” that have been associated with a user and their inputted preference, with the defendants accused of infringement through the provision of their respective personalized advertisement services. At issue are features for allowing users to modify their advertisement experiences.
